Great tool :course-builder from google

It is a great step from Google which will support education.

As Google said : Course Builder is our experimental first step in the world of online education. It packages the software and technology we used to build our Power Searching with Google online course. We hope you will use it to create your own online courses, whether they're for 10 students or 100,000 students. You might want to create anything from an entire high school or university offering to a short how-to course on your favorite topic.

Course Builder contains software and instructions for presenting your course material, which can include lessons, student activities, and assessments. It also contains instructions for using other Google products to create a course community and to evaluate the effectiveness of your course. To use Course Builder, you should have some technical skills at the level of a web master. In particular, you should have some familiarity with HTML and JavaScript.

Join Peter Norvig and special guests for two Hangouts on Air. Peter will answer your questions about MOOC design and the technical aspects of using Course Builder.

Moving Outside the LMS: Matching Web 2.0 Tools to Instructional Purpose

What considerations support the decision to either augment or replace an institution’s existing learning management system (LMS) with a cloud-based, Web 2.0 technology tool to support students’ learning? The use of instructional technologies should be evaluated against a backdrop of pedagogical objectives, and students’ selection of tools to support their learning can result in a more collaborative, constructive, and authentic learning experience. Instructors must balance the benefit of introducing new technology tools into the curriculum with the additional load—for instructors (supporting the tool) and students (learning the tool). This paper describes the experiences of an online graduate program in instructional technology at Georgia Southern University (GSU) and the program faculty who have chosen to move beyond the LMS.

MLE-Moodle is mobile Learning (mLearning) system

MLE-Moodle is an out-of-the-box mobile Learning (mLearning) system, designed for mobile Phones.

It is realized as a plugin for the open-source Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle. Just copy the MLE-Moodle files to your Moodle-installation and your eLearning system is now a mLearning system too.

So with MLE-Moodle you can enhance your eLearning system to mobile Learning, and can learn either with your mobile phone (mLearning) or with your PC / Notebook (eLearning).

On the mobile phone you can either use the built-in mobile browser to access MLE-Moodle. Or you can use a special mobile phone application which was designed for learning on mobile phones (called MLE phone client).
More info here :
The MOMO (Mobile Moodle) project is an Add-On to the popular Moodle Learning Management System. It brings the ability to implement mobile learning scenarios with Moodle as a backend.
Mobile users install the MOMO client, a JAVA based application, on their mobile phones (or any other JAVA and Internet capable device). Through this client they can access courses wherever they are, which allows completely new scenarios.
Administrators install the necessary MOMO extension on their Moodle server which makes the compatible contents available for mobile usage. They can configure and maintain the system through the integrated administration interface all within Moodle.
Teachers can design courses with either several mobile elements or complete mobile learning scenarios using the tools and methodologies they know from within Moodle.

Moodle Share

MoodleShare will host your courses for you if you are unable to grant guest access through your school or organization. We reserve the right to deny courses based on objectionable content or file size.
