RoboMind is a simple educational programming environment

RoboMind is a simple educational programming environment which introduces the fundamentals of programming to students in a simple and attractive way. While programming a virtual robot, the student learns about modern programming techniques and computer science in general. As the student solves specific problems he or she also gains insight into areas such as robotics and artificial intelligence.

RoboMind can be used for science and technology projects at primary schools, secondary schools and further education. It is also very suitable for learning about problem solving and logical thinking. Topics often not covered very well in educational programs. Another possibility of RoboMind is to show how theoretical aspects from logic and computer science can be used to solve practical problems in science and industry. As such it is an excellent tool for schools that want to be outstanding in technology education.

Some nice features and advantages of RoboMind are:

Start right away
Free for personal use
Learning by discovery with online docs
Technology introduction for everyone
Complete lesson packs available
LEGO Mindstorms NXT support

Thanks a lot for the review. I was fascinated to see your article, as I am the lucky one who used to learn coding with RoboMind. Now I work for a big mobile app development company but I still have the Robo with just to glance at it from time to time.

We have a lot of new employees easyprojects website passed your courses. The course really gives a complete understanding of the programming from the initial stages to advanced. It also helps to understand what an employee in the field of programming he would like to continue to work. Great program!

Nice tool, thanks. We at birdview projects appreciate its being a well thought-out way to give basics of programming to our non-programmer staff.

Here I've Mention Relation to other educational software with RoboMind

RoboMind is somewhat similar to Karel the Robot but its syntax is closer to C/C++ while Karel is closer to Pascal.

RoboMind can be related to the Logo, at which a turtle can be moved around to create geometric shapes. The syntax of RoboMind however is different and corresponds more directly to main stream scripting languages for Web Design & Developement, such as JavaScript. In RoboMind perceiving and changing the environment are of equal importance, where Logo focuses mostly on the latter. This makes RoboMind more suitable to demonstrate real life applications. In Logo, on the other hand, users have more freedom to create visual effects.

Other free educational programming languages, such as Alice and Scratch focus on the wider domain of interactive story telling.
